Cedar Mountain

Cedar Mountain property owners are billed annually with their county property taxes for waste removal. Dumpsters for residential waste are located at the locations on the map below. These dumpsters are located on the mountain on a seasonal basis, from approximately May through October. During off-season months property owners must pack their trash out.

Again, these dumpsters are for RESIDENTIAL WASTE ONLY. Cameras are installed at each residential dumpster site, and commercial customers found using these dumpsters will be fined. Businesses on Cedar Mountain should contact the WKCSSD at (435) 644-5645 to arrange for dumpster service.

Burn Pit

The WKCSSD is now operating the burn pit located on Cedar Mountain.  At this time we do not have a gate or ticket system in place.  Appropriate use of the burn pit will be monitored throughout the season, and if a gate and ticketing system becomes necessary we will implement that at that time.  Please note the following restrictions to the burn pit.  Failure to follow these restrictions may lead to closure of the burn pit at any time.  Please contact our office to report misuse of the burn pit.  A license plate and/or photos are helpful!

  • There is ABSOLUTELY NO dumping of commercial or residential waste
  • STUMPS MUST be separated from main burn pit pile and placed in the area designated for stumps.
